DESCRIPTION
Virtual rooms first became popular for teachers, but clinicians are starting to use them for telehealth as well. This training will provide a short tutorial on how to create a virtual office for use with both children and adults. Virtual rooms are not just a cool decoration; each item placed in the room can include hyperlinks to online tools, games, and activities to support and engage clients of all ages. This training will discuss practical application for how to use virtual offices throughout the 8 phases of Standard Protocol using EMDR therapy. Virtual offices can support therapeutic rapport with clients of all ages and increase client engagement in EMDR therapy.
OBJECTIVES
Describe how to create a virtual office for use with clients
Discuss 1-2 strategies to complete Phase 1 History Taking in a virtual office
Identify 2-3 Phase 2 Preparation interventions through use of a virtual office
Describe how to facilitate Phases 3-7 in a virtual office with a client
Identify 1-2 Phase 8 closure strategies in a virtual office

This is pre-recorded webinar. This is an intermediate level course. Completion of all modules, a course evaluation, and post-test is required to receive CE Certificate. Course evaluations are administered after completing all course modules. The post-test is comprised of true/false and multiple choice questions and requires a passing mark of 75%, and is administered after completion of the course evaluation. Upon passing the post-test, participants are able to download their CE certificates.
